A conversational interface for AI assisted software interaction. Users no longer have to learn an interface. They simply tell the chart what they want and an LLM, equipped with tooling to control the chart, updates it to fit the user’s request. Beyond the UI, the LLM can request chart data for analysis. It can even draw on the chart to highlight its analysis. Originally developed as a personal side project, the ChartIQ AI interface was developed into a production feature of the chart over the subsequent year.
The ChartIQ AI Plugin works alongside a low level command line interface into ChartIQ to interact with the chart directly. A custom tool set offers precise guide rails for the LLM including detailed instructions in how to manipulate the chart. The plugin is designed to work with any LLM and can be integrated into any API service via an included extensible proxy server. The ChartIQ CLI itself is extensible, allowing customers to create AI accessible commands unique to their charting application.
