[Inspired by Jack Kirby](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirby_Krackle), some experimentation with layered particle effects in \#unity3d. This is going to be a ramp-up to the weapon fire, along the lines of the [beam from](https://78.media.tumblr.com/4672992c2c63a7d75fdec0ca4bebd219/tumblr_inline_nxryr1Fo141qgp297_500.gif) the movie Independence Day.
