# Facebook App Starter Kit - Now on GitHub

![fask](http://www.mwilber.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/fask.png)I recently moved my Facebook App Starter Kit (FASK) from [Google Projects](http://code.google.com/) to [GitHub](https://github.com/mwilber/fask). The move was mainly to play with GitHub but also to take advantage of their packaging and downloading features. FASK provides a ready made starting point for building facebook apps using the facebook javascript api. It's built on the [HTML5 Boilerplate](http://html5boilerplate.com/) and provides javascript functions for the most commonly used facebook features. A lot has been added to the project in recent months: 

- Greatly improved Login system.
- Two Like Gate methods, one for tab apps and the other for stand-alone apps and sites.
- "Add To Page" - easy installation of tab apps.
- "Post To Page" - post to your brand pages as the app.
